When Joseph Held His Stepson

When Joseph sought shelter for Mary and the blessed baby soon to be born, he was looking for shelter for Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph held his stepson, he was holding Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph comforted his stepson, he was comforting Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph had to flee to Egypt with his stepson he was protecting Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph returned to Nazareth with his stepson, he brought Jesus, God’s son home.
When Joseph taught his stepson scripture, he taught Jesus’ God’s Son .
When Joseph made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem with his stepson he was traveling with Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph bought doves as an offering for his stepson he offered them for Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph shared his tools with his stepson he was sharing them with Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph showed his stepson how to make useful items, he was showing these skills to Jesus, God’s son.
When Joseph grew weary and was dying he laid in the arms of his stepson who is Jesus, God’s son.
Now Joseph shares heaven with his stepson who is Jesus, God’s son.
Now Joseph, our protector will offer our petitions to his stepson, Jesus, God’s Son.
